Is this the William Lolley who is listed in the Freeman's Rolls for the City of York?? It does seem likely, as this William settled in Osbaldwick, which is only a few miles from the City Centre. If so, then he was Apprenticed to George Hopkinson, Cordwainer, and Obtained his Freedom on the 20 May 1839. According to the 1861 Census for Murton, William was born in St Lawrence Parish, York. So I think I need to look again and see if I can find him properly.
William is a 1st Cousin to James Lolley.
Hannah (Ann) died before 1846, when John married Harriet Andrew. I don't yet have her death date, but hopefully it will be found soon. She may have died in childbirth, as we have only found one child so far.
According to David Moreland, Richard was a gamekeeper to Lord Darrimore of Heslington for 50 Years!
This is now the land where the University of York stands.
