William Bravener-997

BRIAN -

I just found your amazing family tree web site. What an astoundingly
detailed piece of work!
I think I may be able to help you extend it some more, as I link into
the tree myself through an ancestor of mine you don't seem to have recorded.

Your Joseph Toase-6235 married Ann Coupland-6239. You record them as
having 4 children: Mary Toase-6240, Emma Roase-6241, William Sidney
Toase-6242
and Amy Toase-6243. I'm descended from another son, John Toase. I don't know
his date of birth, but he was 2 on the 1881 Census (where he was "John
Toes").
He married Alice Whincup 3/Dec/1902 in Whixley, Yorkshire. This may be of
particular interest to you as there's a Whincup one name study by Paul
Smith (paul@brid43.freeserve.co.uk </cgi-bin/compose?curmbox=F000000001&a=20abe7b6fc9df431a3b489a7474be837&mailto=1&to=paul@brid43.freeserve.co.uk&msg=MSG1014901004.54&start=449405&len=3760&src=&type=x>) which goes back to the 1500s.

Your entry for Ann Coupland-6239 is also incomplete - she had 7 more
siblings than you list. Her parents, William Coupland-6244 and Isabella
Dawson-6245, were married 25/Dec/1834. William had another 2 siblings you
don't have listed. Contact Noel Coupland (ngc@zetnet.co.uk </cgi-bin/compose?curmbox=F000000001&a=20abe7b6fc9df431a3b489a7474be837&mailto=1&to=ngc@zetnet.co.uk&msg=MSG1014901004.54&start=449405&len=3760&src=&type=x>) for the full
details. He might be interested in where you got the surname Curtis from
for Elizabeth Curtis-6259, as he only has her as Elizabeth. I knew that
the Elizabeth Curtis you mention was a possibility for being the wife
of William Coupland-6258 (as I know an Elizabeth Curtis in real life, so
when I spotted it I remembered!), but I didn't know she was a definite.

You may be missing some children of William Bravener-997 and Mary-998.
You have Anne Bravener-999 and Isabell Bravener-996. This is only from
inspection of the IGI, so it could well be wrong, but I think the full list
may be:

In some places, you provide more information than I already had,
so I have some work to do now updating my data <grin>. In particular, I
didn't know that Ann Sheppard-4069 had a mother called Frances from
Thormanby, and I was missing 4 children of John Toes-995.

Thanks for making that great resource of yours available on the web!

Richard

William Clarke-2582

William was a Carpenter and Joiner.

Did William and Elizabeth have a son called THomas, born about 1820, who married twice....?
Firstly to.Louisa Rymer, Daughter of George Rymer
They were married 5 Nov 1848 at Crayke. Thomas was 28, matching with his birth in 1820 as mentioned on his other marriage certificate. Louisa was 23. George Rymer was the Parish Clerk.
Witnesses were Thomas Rickaby and Amelia Rymer. Both of Crayke.

... who died before Nov 1855
and secondly to Frances Stringer widow, daughter of Francis Stewart, Cooper, probably of Crayke. She is said to be of Crayke., as is Thomas. Thomas's Father is William Clark, Joiner.
Frances was 45 at the time of the wedding, Thomas only 35. The marriage took place at Crayke, on 1 Nov 1855.

Anne Harrison-1186

I cannot find her Christening in Kilburn between the years of 1705 - 1720.

George Lowson-2422

Relative : Emily Lawson Amor
!Is he the Son of George???

Margaret Fowston-2423

Relative : Emily Lawson Amor

William Salmon-1032

William was a Cooper.

Robert Davison-1173

He was a Gardner
A possible chirstening is to Thomas Davison (note no second 'd' in the surname) 18 feb 1734, at Thirsk.
After looking through the marriages again of Agnes to William Nicholson, there she had the spelling or Davidson in her surname. Her father and Grandfather did not, they had Davison.
