A possible birth, though I have no proof, as I do not know how old she was when she died, but there is an Alice Ricketts born in 1901, June Quarter, at Croydon, Vol 2a Page 258.
There is also another Alice born in York [Full name Alice Louisa A Ricketts] Vol 9d Page 58.
There may well be other Allice Ricketts born after 1901, but I do not know.

Bentall, Ann, Wife, Mar, 37, born...........
Kirby, John, Son In Law, 15, Agricultural Labourer, Born Islington, Middlesex.
[Apparently, the term 'son in law' was also used to denote stepson.]
I cannot find any Jesse Bentall's on the 1881 Census, even at the nationwide level.
I am not sure if this is the right family.....this is the Only Joseph Gentry in Essex who has a wife coming from Felsted, Essex., and he is the only Joseph whose birth is anywhere near the appropriate time. The only discrepancy, is the name of his wife, and her age is two years out.
Saying that though, the 9 year discrepancy in the ages of joseph and MArtha might suggest a second marriage due to the death of his first wife??From the 1881 Census:
