It looks like the parish has not been extractd before 1724, which would explain a great deal about why I can not find a christening for Thomas.
Possible marriages for Thomas Fawdington:
17 Jun 1718 to Elizabetha Dobson at Alne
31 dec 1731 to Mary Barker at St Peter's York.
5 Jun 1743 to Elizabeth Strickling at Alne
Was Thomas married twice? It would explain all the children born to Thomas, and is the only marriage that matches........
25 Mar 1755 to Mary Scruton at Dalby
11 Dec 1756 to Elleanor Underwood at Topcliffe by Thirsk.
If it is this one, then Eleanor must be born 1717 at Topcliffe, as there is only the one Eleanor born there. It would explain why she only had two children, as she would have been 43 when having her second child.
may have to look at the parish of Alne itself as it appears that the extraction has stopped in 1724.
did Anne marry one Samuel Robson of Oswaldkirk 4 Dec 1780 at Coxwold, where she was of..??
if so, the witnesses were James Kendrew, and Richard Robson.
Re John Nicholson Rin 5081: A possible marriage: to Elizabeth Farthing 24 DEc 1740 at Otteringham, which would be perfectly in time for the birth of John Nicholson in 1744 who married ann Scott and hence the passman line would ultimately be related to me.
She is the daughter of Francis Scott and ann Wilkinson who were married 24 Apr 1749 at THormanby.
A possible marriage: to Elizabeth Farthing 24 DEc 1740 at Otteringham, which would be perfectly in time for the birth of John Nicholson (Rin 2006) in 1744 who married Ann Scott and hence the passman line would ultimately be related to me.
Obviously Thomas died before 1716 when his widow remarried, though there is no entry in the parish register of Kilburn.
did Thomas marry Ann Borten Dec 1718 at Kilburn??
Here are some children who belong to this marriage. Quite where they stop I do not know. There seems to be quite a gap, so I am not sure if all the children below are the children of the above couple. (IGI, Batch P007331)

Remember, until 1750 the year went from March to March, so James' burial date
is not wrong!
Could this Jane be the one who married Henry Harker at Coxwold 12 Dec 1840. And if so were these two the parents of Henry Harker Who married Annie McEwan, who are my Wife's Great Great Great Grandparents??
